PSNI.

Series of posters for the PSNI anti-drug campaign, sober moments.

This campaign was set up to encourage young people to think carefully about the dangers of drugs and the long lasting consequences they can have.

Tasked with creating a series of posters I was approached by the PSNI to design a series of posters for their Sobering Moment campaign which launched in 2017. All content created for this series needed to be safe for younger audiences (13+), maintain the brand guidelines of the PSNI and promote the contact number for addiction NI should the audience want to seek help or advice.

I decided to use a more illustrated approach for this campaign, in order to ensure it was suitable for the younger end of their target demographic to view and potentially even younger as their publishing is very public, I didn't want to use graphic images. I used words relating to drugs and alcohol as well as information about addiction and asking for help and arranged these words to make the shape of various types of drugs, including a needle (master apprentice), cigarette, pills and cocaine. I also included the number for addiction NI within these shapes and also at the bottom of the poster in order to make it clear and recognisable for people to see. I maintained the PSNI brand style using the polaroid frame with the logo and all other support information at the bottom of the campaigns.

After these posters were created I then had to present my designs to various members of the PSNI and the marketing directors for the PSNI. All the designs needed to be approved by these people to ensure they met the necessary guidelines for the PSNI.
