Chemicools.
A website designed to teach children the scientific elements.
I have a passion for making designs simple, unique and easy to use. Tasked with designing a website which incorporates 5 of the scientific elements I decided to create the Chemicools. The Chemicools are a group of superheroes which are going to teach children the scientific elements in a way which is memorable for them.
I wanted to make the learning process easier for children and scientific elements can be a difficult topic for any child to understand, therefore it was important that all the information displayed on this site was easy to understand and the website was easy to navigate around.
The Chemicools are a group of superheroes, each Chemicool represents a different scientific element and each of the characters have their own superpower which relates to their designated element. For example helium has the power to float.
I designed and illustrated each character within this site using Adobe Illustrator. I used HTML and CSS to create this site from scratch. I included the use of flex-box to make this site as this would enable me to use the best layout suited to this project.
As the user makes their way throughout this site they can visit each character individually where the character introduces themselves and their scientific element, explains what their scientific element is and an example of where the element can be found in real life.
